FAMILY RESIDENCE

Families residing in Turkey (family residence permit) the application is intended for building 

family unity of Turkish citizens and foreign nationals.

To foreign spouse,

The spouse or his / her child who is under 18 years of age,

The spouse or the dependent child,

only one of the spouses to the family residence in the case of citizens of the Republic of 

Turkey can be held more than one wife.

However, they will be able to arrange family residence for all children of two wives.

Consent (Permit) will be compulsory at the time of application in case the third person with 

whom the children have custody is a foreign citizen.

How Many Years of Family Residence Can Be Obtained? 

For each application, 1 year, 2 years, maximum 3 years can be arranged upon request.

What are the requirements for a supportive spouse or parent?

Supportive spouse or parent has health insurance covering all family members.

Monthly income for each member of the family, but not less than 3/1 of the minimum wage

The Apostille Forensic Record Certificate and the Turkish translation of the foreign citizen 

from their own country must be submitted.

Requirements for Foreign Citizens Resident in a Family Residence
